SOME OF THE WORLDS MOST PROLIFIC SERIAL KILLERS |

THE BOSTON STRANGLERFrom June,14 1962 until Jan., 4 1964, 13 single women had fallen prey to the Boston Strangler, one of Americas most prolific serial killers. Most of the victims were sexually assaulted, before being strangled to death with an article of clothing. The oldest victim, Mary Mullen, had a heart attack before The Strangler was able to kill her. Two of the victims had been found to be beaten very badly before they were stabbed to death. Were all these women killed by the same person? On Oct., 27 1974 the Strangler entered the home of a woman telling her he was a maintenance worker sent by his supervisor. The Strangler attacked his victim, sexually assaulting her, then leaving quickly saying "I'm sorry." The victim described her attacker to the police and Albert De Salvo was arrested for the assault. After a photo of De Salvo was released to the public, many women came forward, saying they had also been assaulted by De Salvo. Under hypnosis, De Salvo went into details of the Strangler murders. De Salvo also told details to his cell mate, George Nasser, but no physical evidence was produced to prove the statements were true. Albert De Salvo received a life sentence in 1967. He later escaped from Bridgewater State hospital. He turned himself in to the police the next day. Albert De Salvo was murdered in the prison hospital 6 years later. Was Albert De Salvo The Boston Strangler , or was he covering up for someone else? DNA found at the crime scene of Mary A. Sullivan was proven to not be that of De Salvo. George Nasser, who De Salvo confessed to, was also a suspect in The Strangler murders. He has never been charged with the crimes. Ames Roby, a criminal psychologist, who interviewed both Nasser ans De Salvo, said that Nasser was much more likely to be The Boston Strangler than De Salvo. Victims include: Anna E. Slesers 55, Mary Mullen 85, Nina Nichols 68, Helen Blake 65, Ida Irga 75, Jane Sullivan 67, Sorhie Clark 21, Patricia Bissette 23, Mary Brown 69, Beverly Samans 23, Evelyn Corbin 58, Joanne Graff 23, and Mary Sullivan 19. |
TED BUNDY Theodore Robert Bundy was the originator of the term, "serial killer". Bundy killed at least 30 women between 1974 and 1978. he said he had killed over 100, but this has never been proven. Bundy's victims were young women with straight hair, usually parted in the middle. He used fake handicaps to lure his victims to his car where he would then over power them. He would take them to remote places to sexually assault them, before murdering them. Bundy would go back multiple times, to have sexual activity with the dead victims, until he could not get close to them , because of the smell of decomposition. Bundy was arrested on 1975 for a kidnapping charge. Colorado had also charged him in the connection with murder. He had stopped eating while in prison so he could lose weight. Bundy slimmed down and then he escaped from a light fixture in his prison cell. After Bundy escaped from prison, he went to Florida to continue his spree of murder. Florida was the state of his final arrest. Ted Bundy, the most prolific serial killer in American history, was put to death on 1/24/1989 at Railford Prison in Starke, Fl |
